We offer schools and community groups a range of educational peer-taught components for ages 10 to 18. Through our teen panels, curricula and campus clubs, we empower teens with the knowledge, tools, motivation and support they need to navigate through a very challenging youth culture. Our interactive educational components and support activities promote building healthy relationships, making well thought out decisions, and setting goals for the future.

Why Choose Free to Be?

AWe have a unique model. Our innovative peer panel approach serves as a model for teen pregnancy prevention education at over 20 sites in Northern California each year. To learn how to replicate the Free to Be Teen Panel Model in your community, click here.

B We are proactive. Free to Be believes that postponing sexual activity until marriage is the safest and healthiest choice for teens. In addition to providing teens with accurate information, we challenge and motivate them to value themselves and their future. We provide the tools which enable them to live out their choices in confidence.

C We serve a wide range of teens. Currently, Free to Be is active in Sonoma County in Northern California. We speak to an average of 2,000 youth every year, and since 1992, we have brought our message to over 80,000 teens!

Teaching Strategies for forming healthy relationships, setting goals for the future, making well thought out decisions, responding to pressure and setting boundaries in relationships.
