What's going on?

Besides presenting the Free to Be message to over 4,000 teens every year, our staff and youth have a lot of fun. Here are some examples of the types of events offered each year...

Socials

Free to Be plans regular social events for our Peer Educators.
In the past, we've enjoyed pizza parties, ice skating,
beach trips, and a high-ropes challenge course!

Workshops

Educational workshops for Peer Educators provide an opportunity for our youth and staff to gather as a team, grow in their knowledge, and support each other in their commitments.

Outreach

Free to Be youth and staff exhibit our materials frequently at health and community fairs. Each summer, Free to Be hosts a booth at the Santa Rosa Downtown Market.

Recognition

Each spring, Free to Be holds an elegant awards banquet to honor the contributions of the youth and supporters of our program.

Conferences

Free to Be Peer Educators and staff attend national leadership conferences each year.  These conferences gather youth from around the country and provide opportunities for our teens to hear nationally acclaimed speakers, attend workshops, and socialize with others involved in similar programs.
